Falcon Compact Kilns
|
|
Front Loading kilns for installation and use where space is at a premium. They are designed to allow the kilns to be fitted within 50 mm of the rearwall of any adjacent wall and the door opening systems. Whilst taking less room when the doors are opened, also allow uninterrupted access to the firing chamber.
The compact range of kilns are based on the Falcon range incorporating all of the standard and optional features of the Falcon kilns.
- These new kilns enhance the already established benchmark Falcon front loading range of electrically operated kilns
- Designed for installation and use where space is at a premium the compact range gives another dimension when planning kiln installation and workshop layouts
- Standard capacities from 50 litres to 250 litres
- Castor wheels are a standard fitting allowing the kilns to be moved forward to give access for electrical maintenance

Safety Products

HEATLOCK Heat Protection System
This advanced heat protection system is not mandatory but is a highly recommended part of our total safety system. Heatlock operates as described below.
- Developed by our R & D Department to protect kiln users from excessive heat when opening the kiln door.
- This safety system prevents the kiln door from being opened when the temperature inside the chamber is in excess of 70ºC
- The heat lock is automatically operated by an independent, preset, tamper proof temperature controller via its own dedicated thermocouple.
- The system is kiln mounted and has indicating lights showing system set and lock de-activation. In addition to the safety issue, the heat lock will also help to extend element and kiln lining life by offering protection of these from thermal shock.

|
|
ELECTRO DAMPER Heat Protection System
- A low cost alternative to electrically operated systems combined with a temperature controlled system. The electro damper eliminates the necessity to reach across the top of a hot kiln to remove or replace the top damper plug.
- The plug is replaced by a damper system which is opened and closed by an electric geared motor. Operation is via a wall mounting panel housing push buttons to open and close the damper. The wall mounting panel comes complete with 2 metres of cable and plug.
- Damper assembly factory-fitted interwired, complete with socket to accept the control panel plug (new kilns only).
- Panel fitted with UK 3 pin plug and cable.
Retrofitting
Our service department will be pleased to provide a quotation for the fitting of these important new safety devices to existing kilns already in service.

Kiln Safety Cages
The final piece of the jigsaw to provide a complete heat protection system either on a stand alone basis or in conjunction with the heatlock and electro damper system. The cages offer complete security where kilns are installed in an open area within the pottery room.
As situations do vary we can either adapt our standard units to suit or design and purpose-build a cage if required.
