Jeremy

Kilns & Furnaces are excited to welcome our new Operations Manager Jeremy Cross. With over 35 years of industry experience, he has great ambitions for growing the brand internationally.

We asked Jeremy a few questions about his experience, knowledge, and future plans for Kilns & Furnaces.

What was it that attracted you to this role? And what is it that made you feel like this would be perfect for you?

I felt like it was time for a new challenge and this role provided the perfect opportunity for me. Plus, Kilns & Furnaces is one of the leading kiln manufacturers in the UK.

Have you worked in this industry before?

I have over 35 years of experience within the industry. During this time, I’ve worked for two other kiln manufacturers. Both of these were in the same field, hobby, educational, and small industrial kilns.

What are some key successes from your career? And how will these help you in your new role?

That’s a hard question, but I would say my extensive knowledge means I can help Kilns & Furnaces grow. During my career, I have always met and exceeded targets, as well as helped to produce the best kilns possible. Alongside this, I will bring my experience, in bespoke kiln manufacturing. I’m sure my insight and knowledge of the hobbyist and educational kiln market will prove valuable. In growing the K&F nationally and internationally.

What excites you most about this industry? And what trends are you seeing that make Kilns & Furnaces the right choice for customers?

Kilns & Furnaces are a market leader within the industry. They have a huge amount of technical expertise and are an established brand. Plus they have the knowledge to help and inform customers to make the right decision for them. Kilns & Furnaces sits within a continuingly moving market, where new challenges are emerging every day. I am excited to be a part of this and help the brand move forward.

What strengths will you bring to Kilns & Furnaces?

Alongside my 35 years of industry experience, I have developed a great understanding of the industry’s customers. Having this insight will allow me to develop the Kilns & Furnaces brand and products to meet developing customer’s needs.

What are your immediate and long-term goals for Kilns & Furnaces?

My aim is to help Kilns & Furnaces grow nationally and internationally. But as we grow, I want to focus on meeting the demands of today’s potters. As an industry-leading kiln designer, I want to develop new kilns and technologies to provide solutions for today’s customers.  At Kilns & Furnaces, I believe this is possible.
